    Instead of expensive, fragile transponders that have to be charged, rented or sold, and then collected after an event, Hardcard uses specially-designed tags that can be read up to 200 mph, need no charging, are disposable and cost just a few dollars per competitor.  Promoters can earn extra revenue by selling them to  competitors at each event, quickly paying for their entire timing and scoring system.
